I've had my BX23 for a week now, only got 10 hours on it...too many soccer games to attend with son...I have to set some priorities!!

I have a few questions based on my "experience"

1. After using the hoe for about two hours I found all the thread lock nuts on the hoe pin bolts loose and two were almost totally off the bolt. Has anyone seen this on their BX23?? I showed my dealer's service manager and he didn't know what to say. He was going to call Kubota to see what's up. I don't know how tight to draw these up, does anyone have an ideas??

2. The 60" MMM keeps leaving a streak of uncut grass about 1" wide where the side and center blade would pass. I doesn't seem to matter how tall or short the grass is or how slow or fast I mow, its still there. Is there some kind of adjustment that needs to be made?? I can't believe its supposed to be doing that, it looks pretty bad. I mowed the same grass with a little Craftsman lawn mower and it looked 100 times better than it does now. I hope there is a fix!!

Thanks for any suggestions.

It is hard to find anything that is built perfect. Kubota is about as good as it gets but the solution is a simple one and is often recommended on regular intervals. ....

I've seen that a lot on cut with mmm and usually occurs where the front wheels track. But there is a possibility that the wrong blades were put on the mower remove the deck and check the gap between the blades it should only be about 1/8" or less. If it is I've also found that mulching blade tend to create a vacuum under the deck and lifts the grass back up to a "standing" position after the front tires smash it down. As for the lock nuts coming lose you should make them seat against the steel of the pin boss. If they already are ad another nut and jam them together and that will more than likely solve the problem. ....
